Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Measuring tape
  • Level
  • Drill with 1/4" bit
  • Pencil
  • Stud finder

Step-by-Step Installation (Over-the-Range Models)

  1. Prepare Installation Area: Ensure proper ventilation and electrical outlet within reach. Minimum clearance: 30" from cooking surface.
  2. Remove Old Microwave: Disconnect power, remove mounting hardware, and carefully lower the unit.
  3. Install Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate to the wall using provided hardware, ensuring it's level and anchored to wall studs.
  4. Prepare Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated 120V, 60Hz, 15-amp circuit. Follow local electrical codes.
  5. Install Ventilation: Connect ductwork for external ventilation (recommended) or set up recirculation kit.
  6. Mount Microwave: Lift microwave onto mounting plate, secure with mounting bolts, and ensure proper alignment.
  7. Test Operation: Plug in unit, test all functions including fan, light, and microwave operations.
Warning: Installation should be performed by qualified personnel. Improper installation may result in fire hazard or injury.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Microwave won't start Door not closed, child lock engaged, power issue Ensure door is latched, check child lock setting, verify power supply
Uneven cooking Turntable not rotating, improper food placement Check turntable operation, arrange food evenly, stir during cooking
Sparking inside Metal object present, damaged waveguide cover Remove all metal, inspect and replace waveguide cover if damaged
