Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure location meets clearance requirements.

  1. Remove packaging: Take off all tape, foam, and cardboard. Keep door straps until unit is in final location.
  2. Position refrigerator: Place on level floor. Allow 1/4" clearance at back and top, 2" at sides for ventilation.
  3. Connect water line (for dispenser): Shut off main water supply. Connect 1/4" copper tubing to cold water line and refrigerator inlet valve.
  4. Plug into dedicated 115V AC outlet.
  5. Level the unit: Adjust front leveling legs so doors close and seal properly.

WARNING! Refrigerator is heavy; use two people to move. Do not pinch water line during installation.

First-Time Setup

Plug in refrigerator; allow 24 hours for initial cool-down.

  1. Set temperatures: Press TEMP buttons to set refrigerator to 37°F and freezer to 0°F.
  2. Flush water system: Dispense and discard first 3 gallons of water to clear air from lines.
  3. Reset filter indicator: Hold FILTER RESET button for 3 seconds after filter installation.
  4. Load food: Allow space between items for air circulation. Do not overload.

CAUTION! Do not place refrigerator near heat sources. Ensure doors can open fully.

Buttons: TEMP (fridge/freezer), TURBO COOL, TURBO FREEZE, FILTER RESET, LOCK (dispenser).

Temperature Settings: Fridge (34°F to 46°F), Freezer (-5°F to 5°F). Turbo Modes: Activate for 24 hours then return to previous settings. Dispenser Lock: Press and hold LOCK for 3 seconds to disable dispenser. Filter Indicator: Flashes when filter needs replacement (approx. 6 months).

Using the Water & Ice Dispenser

Internal dispenser provides chilled water and ice through refrigerator door.

  1. Water: Press glass against water paddle. Release to stop.
  2. Ice: Press glass against ice paddle. Crushed ice available if ice maker is set accordingly.
  3. To change ice type: Use switch inside freezer compartment (cubed/crushed).
  4. Dispenser lock: Enable to prevent accidental activation.

Tip: First use may produce irregular ice shapes. Discard first batch.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning interior. Use mild detergent and warm water for surfaces.

  1. Exterior: Wipe with damp cloth. Use stainless steel cleaner for finish.
  2. Interior: Remove shelves and bins. Wash with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  3. Door seals: Wipe with clean cloth to maintain seal.
  4. Condenser coils: Vacuum every 6-12 months (located at back or bottom).

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners or sharp objects. Never pour water inside unit.

Replacing the Water Filter

Replace MWF filter every 6 months or when indicator light flashes.

  1. Locate filter: Bottom grille or upper right interior.
  2. Turn filter 1/4 counterclockwise and pull straight out.
  3. Insert new filter, align arrows, turn clockwise until it stops.
  4. Flush system: Run 3 gallons of water through dispenser.
  5. Reset indicator: Press and hold FILTER RESET for 3 seconds.

WARNING! Do not use without filter. Use only GE MWF filters.
