Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure proper location with adequate clearance.

  1. Position the refrigerator: Allow at least 1 inch clearance on sides and back, 2 inches at top for ventilation.
  2. Level the refrigerator: Adjust front leveling legs to ensure doors close properly.
  3. Connect to power: Plug into a dedicated 120V, 15-amp grounded outlet.
  4. Water line connection (optional): Connect to cold water supply if using ice/water dispenser.

WARNING! Refrigerator is heavy; use two people to move. Ensure it is level to prevent door issues.

First-Time Setup

Plug in the refrigerator; allow 24 hours for temperatures to stabilize.

  1. Set temperatures: Use control panel to set refrigerator to 37°F (3°C) and freezer to 0°F (-18°C).
  2. Enable ice maker: Lift the wire signal arm to the "ON" (up) position.
  3. Dispense water: Flush the water system by dispensing water for 3 minutes.
  4. Organize shelves: Adjust glass shelves and bins to desired positions.

CAUTION! Do not load food until temperatures have stabilized. Keep doors closed during initial cool-down.

Controls and Settings

Access controls via the touch panel on the refrigerator door interior.

Control Panel: Temperature Display, Fridge Temp (+/-), Freezer Temp (+/-), Filter Reset, Door Alarm, Sabbath Mode, Lock.

Temperature Settings: Adjust fridge (34°F to 46°F) and freezer (-5°F to 5°F). Filter Reset: Press and hold for 3 seconds after replacing water filter. Door Alarm: Enable/disable audible alert for open door. Sabbath Mode: Disables interior lights, display, and alarms for 24 hours or until manually turned off. Control Lock: Prevents accidental setting changes.

Connecting Water Line

Required for ice maker and water dispenser function.

  1. Turn off main water supply.
  2. Connect approved 1/4" copper or plastic tubing to cold water line.
  3. Route tubing to refrigerator connection valve at the back.
  4. Use compression fitting to secure line to valve.
  5. Turn water on and check for leaks.
  6. Flush system by dispensing water for 3 minutes.

Tip: Use a GE-approved water filter and change every 6 months.

Using the Ice & Water Dispenser

Dispenses cubed ice and chilled water from inside the fresh food compartment.

  1. To dispense water: Press a glass against the water paddle.
  2. To dispense ice: Press a glass against the ice paddle.
  3. Select ice type (if equipped): Use button to choose cubed or crushed.
  4. Replace water filter: When "Replace Filter" light illuminates, install new XWFE filter and reset indicator.
  5. Clean dispenser area: Wipe with soft, damp cloth.

WARNING! Do not use glass thinner than 1/8". Do not let children hang on dispenser paddles.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning interior. Use mild detergent and warm water; rinse and dry.

CAUTION! Never use harsh chemicals, ammonia, or scouring pads. Do not pour water into the ice maker.
