Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Remove all packaging materials and tape.

  1. Position the refrigerator: Allow at least 1 inch clearance on sides and back for ventilation.
  2. Level the refrigerator: Adjust the front leveling legs so doors close properly.
  3. Connect water line (optional): Use a ¼” copper water line with a shut-off valve.
  4. Plug into a dedicated 120V AC, 60Hz outlet.
  5. Allow 24 hours for cooling system to stabilize before adding food.

WARNING! Refrigerator is heavy; use two people for moving. Ensure floor can support weight.

First-Time Setup

Plug in refrigerator; control panel will illuminate.

  1. Set temperatures: Press TEMP buttons to set refrigerator (default 37°F) and freezer (default 0°F).
  2. Enable ice maker: Lift the ice maker feeler arm to ON position.
  3. Fill water system: Dispense water for 3 minutes to clear air from lines.
  4. Adjust shelves and bins: Configure interior to suit your storage needs.
  5. Activate Turbo Cool/Freeze if needed for initial cool-down.

CAUTION! Do not block air vents inside compartments for proper cooling.

Temperature Settings: Refrigerator (34°F to 46°F), Freezer (-5°F to 5°F). Turbo Modes: Activate for rapid cooling/freezing (automatically turns off after 24 hours). Filter Reset: Press and hold for 3 seconds after replacing water filter. Control Lock: Press and hold LOCK for 3 seconds to disable panel. Water/Ice Type: Select cubed or crushed ice.

Connecting Water Line

For water and ice dispenser operation.

  1. Turn off main water supply.
  2. Connect ¼” copper tubing to cold water line with shut-off valve.
  3. Route tubing to refrigerator connection at bottom rear.
  4. Connect tubing to refrigerator inlet valve; tighten compression nut.
  5. Turn on water; check for leaks.
  6. Flush system by dispensing water for 3 minutes.

Tip: Use GE-approved water line kit (Part #WR07X10032).

Using the Refrigerator

Optimize storage for freshness and efficiency.

  1. Shelves: Adjust height by lifting and sliding supports.
  2. Crispers: Set humidity slider to HIGH for vegetables, LOW for fruits.
  3. Door Bins: Store condiments, drinks; gallon bins hold large items.
  4. Freezer Drawer: Use baskets for organization; avoid overpacking.
  5. Water/Ice Dispenser: Press glass against paddle; select ice type.
  6. Turbo Modes: Use when adding large quantities of food.
  7. Ice Maker: Turn off by lowering feeler arm if not needed.

WARNING! Do not use sharp objects to remove ice; may damage dispenser.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning interior. Use mild detergent and warm water; avoid abrasives.

Exterior: Wipe with stainless steel cleaner. Interior: Clean shelves, bins, and gaskets monthly. Condenser Coils: Vacuum every 6 months (located at rear bottom). Water System: Replace filter every 6 months or when indicator light comes on.
