Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on level floor.

  1. Remove shipping materials: Take off all tape, brackets, and foam.
  2. Position refrigerator: Allow at least 1 inch clearance on sides and back for ventilation.
  3. Level the unit: Adjust front leveling legs to ensure doors close properly.
  4. Connect water line: For ice/water dispenser (see section 7).
  5. Plug into dedicated 120V AC outlet.

WARNING! Refrigerator is heavy; use two people for moving. Ensure floor can support weight.

First-Time Setup

Plug in refrigerator; allow 24 hours for cooling.

  1. Set temperatures: Use electronic controls to set fridge (recommended 37°F) and freezer (0°F).
  2. Activate ice maker: Lift the wire signal arm to ON position.
  3. Flush water system: Dispense and discard first 3 gallons of water.
  4. Load food: Once temperatures are stable, place food items.

CAUTION! Do not overload shelves. Allow air circulation inside compartments.

Controls and Settings

Access controls via touch panel on exterior dispenser area.

Display Panel: Temperature settings, filter status, door alarm, lock controls.

Temperature: Set fresh food (34°F to 46°F) and freezer (-5°F to 5°F). Dispenser: Select water or ice, activate crushed ice option. Features: Filter reset indicator, Sabbath mode, door alarm on/off, control lock. Ice Maker: ON/OFF switch inside freezer.

Connecting Water Line

Required for ice maker and water dispenser.

  1. Turn off main water supply.
  2. Connect 1/4" copper or plastic water line to cold water pipe.
  3. Route line to refrigerator connection at bottom rear.
  4. Connect line to refrigerator inlet valve.
  5. Turn on water and check for leaks.

Tip: Use GE-approved water line kit. Ensure connection is tight.

Using the Dispenser

Provides chilled water and ice.

  1. Select mode: Press WATER for water, ICE for cubed ice, CRUSH for crushed ice.
  2. Dispense: Press glass against paddle; release to stop.
  3. Change filter: When FILTER light illuminates, replace RPWFE filter.
  4. Clean dispenser: Wipe with damp cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners.

WARNING! Do not use dispenser without water line connected. Keep area clean.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning interior. Use mild detergent and water.

  1. Exterior: Clean with soft cloth and mild cleaner.
  2. Interior: Remove shelves and bins; wash with warm soapy water.
  3. Condenser coils: Vacuum every 6 months for efficiency.
  4. Door seals: Wipe clean to ensure tight seal.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive or ammonia-based cleaners. Never steam clean.
