Step-by-Step Installation
- Choose Installation Location: Select a level, stable countertop or surface near a water source and electrical outlet. Ensure proper ventilation around the unit.
- Remove Packaging Materials: Remove all shipping materials, tape, and protective coverings from the ice maker.
- Water Line Connection: Connect the water supply line to the water inlet valve. Use only food-grade water lines provided or recommended by GE.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the interior and exterior with a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Electrical Connection: Plug into a properly grounded 120V, 60Hz, AC only outlet. Do not use an extension cord or power strip.
- Initial Setup: Fill the water reservoir, turn on the unit, and run through the initial ice-making cycle to flush the system.
- Test Operation: Allow the ice maker to complete several cycles to ensure proper ice production and operation.
