Step-by-Step Installation
- Choose Installation Location: Select a location over your range with proper ventilation and clearance from cooktop surface.
- Remove Old Unit: If replacing an existing microwave, disconnect power and remove the old unit carefully.
- Prepare Mounting Area: Locate wall studs and mark positions for the mounting bracket and upper cabinet.
- Install Mounting Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using appropriate hardware for your wall type.
- Electrical Connection: Connect to a properly grounded 120V, 60Hz, 15-20 amp dedicated circuit. Follow local electrical codes.
- Ventilation Setup: Choose between external venting or recirculating mode and install ductwork if needed.
- Mount Microwave: With assistance, lift the microwave onto the mounting bracket and secure it to the upper cabinet.
- Test Operation: Test all functions including microwave cooking, vent fan, and lighting.
