Over the Range Model

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Power drill
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Measuring tape
  • Stud finder
  • Pencil

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location over your range with proper ventilation and clearance from cooktop surface.
  2. Remove Old Unit: If replacing an existing microwave, disconnect power and remove the old unit carefully.
  3. Prepare Mounting Area: Locate wall studs and mark positions for the mounting bracket and upper cabinet.
  4. Install Mounting Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using appropriate hardware for your wall type.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to a properly grounded 120V, 60Hz, 15-20 amp dedicated circuit. Follow local electrical codes.
  6. Ventilation Setup: Choose between external venting or recirculating mode and install ductwork if needed.
  7. Mount Microwave: With assistance, lift the microwave onto the mounting bracket and secure it to the upper cabinet.
  8. Test Operation: Test all functions including microwave cooking, vent fan, and lighting.
Warning: Installation should be performed by qualified personnel. Improper installation can result in fire hazard or personal injury.

Troubleshooting
