Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Wire strippers
  • Tape measure
  • Cutout template

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Prepare Countertop: Create cutout in countertop using provided template. Ensure minimum clearance requirements are met.
  2. Disconnect Power: Turn off power at circuit breaker before beginning installation.
  3. Electrical Connection: Connect to dedicated 240V, 40-50A circuit as specified for your model. Follow local electrical codes.
  4. Position Cooktop: Place cooktop into countertop cutout, ensuring it sits level and flush with counter surface.
  5. Secure Mounting: Use mounting brackets to secure cooktop to underside of countertop.
  6. Connect Ventilation: If equipped with downdraft ventilation, connect ductwork according to specifications.
  7. Final Check: Ensure all connections are secure, restore power, and test all cooking zones.
Warning: Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician or installer. Improper installation may create electrical hazards and void warranty.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Cooktop won't turn on Power issue, child lock activated, control lock Check circuit breaker, disable child lock, unlock controls
