Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe wrench
  • Tape measure
  • Gas leak detector solution

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper ventilation, away from combustible materials and with access to gas and electrical connections.
  2. Remove Packaging Materials: Remove all shipping materials, protective films, and tape from the range.
  3. Gas Connection: Connect to natural gas or propane supply using approved flexible gas connector. Use pipe joint compound on all threaded connections.
  4. Electrical Connection: Connect to a properly grounded 120V, 60Hz, AC outlet. Do not use an extension cord for the electrical supply.
  5. Anti-Tip Bracket Installation: Install the anti-tip bracket to the floor or wall as specified in the installation instructions.
  6. Level the Range: Adjust the leveling legs to ensure the range is level from front to back and side to side.
  7. Test for Gas Leaks: Apply leak detector solution to all gas connections. Bubbles indicate a leak that must be corrected.
  8. Initial Burn-in: Operate all burners and the oven for 15 minutes to burn off manufacturing residues.
Warning: All gas installations must be performed by a qualified technician in accordance with Canadian Gas Association (CGA) standards and local codes.
