Gas Dryer Series

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Gas leak detector solution
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe thread sealant
  • Level
  • 4-inch diameter metal exhaust duct

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a well-ventilated area with proper clearances (1" from sides, 6" from back) on a solid, level floor.
  2. Remove Shipping Materials: Remove all shipping bolts, brackets and packaging materials from the dryer drum area.
  3. Gas Connection: Connect to 1/2-inch natural gas supply line using approved flexible gas connector. Apply pipe thread sealant to all connections.
  4. Ventilation Installation: Install 4-inch diameter rigid metal exhaust duct. Avoid plastic or flexible foil ducts. Maximum length: 35 feet with two 90° elbows.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to properly grounded 120V, 60Hz, 15A dedicated outlet. Do not use an extension cord.
  6. Gas Leak Test: Apply leak detector solution to all gas connections. Check for bubbles indicating leaks before operating.
  7. Level the Dryer: Adjust the leveling legs to ensure the dryer is level from front to back and side to side.
  8. Test Run: Run the dryer through a complete cycle to check for proper ignition, heating and ventilation.
Warning: Gas dryer installations must be performed by a qualified technician. Improper installation can create fire and carbon monoxide hazards.

Troubleshooting
