Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Adjustable wrench
- Gas leak detector solution
- Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
- Pipe thread sealant
- Level
- 4-inch diameter metal exhaust duct
Step-by-Step Installation
- Choose Installation Location: Select a well-ventilated area with proper clearances (1" from sides, 6" from back) on a solid, level floor.
- Remove Shipping Materials: Remove all shipping bolts, brackets and packaging materials from the dryer drum area.
- Gas Connection: Connect to 1/2-inch natural gas supply line using approved flexible gas connector. Apply pipe thread sealant to all connections.
- Ventilation Installation: Install 4-inch diameter rigid metal exhaust duct. Avoid plastic or flexible foil ducts. Maximum length: 35 feet with two 90° elbows.
- Electrical Connection: Connect to properly grounded 120V, 60Hz, 15A dedicated outlet. Do not use an extension cord.
- Gas Leak Test: Apply leak detector solution to all gas connections. Check for bubbles indicating leaks before operating.
- Level the Dryer: Adjust the leveling legs to ensure the dryer is level from front to back and side to side.
- Test Run: Run the dryer through a complete cycle to check for proper ignition, heating and ventilation.
