Smart Window AC Unit

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Level
  • Tape measure
  • Drill with 1/4" bit
  • Utility knife
  • Silicone sealant

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a window with proper electrical outlet nearby and adequate structural support for the unit's weight.
  2. Prepare Window Area: Clean the window sill and frame, remove any obstructions, and ensure the area is dry and level.
  3. Install Mounting Brackets: Secure the side mounting brackets to the window frame using provided screws and brackets.
  4. Place AC Unit: Carefully lift the air conditioner into the window opening, ensuring it sits securely on the mounting brackets.
  5. Secure the Unit: Extend the side panels to fill gaps and secure them with screws. Install the top and bottom weather seals.
  6. Electrical Connection: Plug into a dedicated 115V, 15A grounded outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.
  7. Seal Gaps: Apply weather stripping and silicone sealant around all gaps to prevent air leaks and improve efficiency.
  8. Test Operation: Turn on the unit and test all functions including cooling, fan speeds, and thermostat settings.
Warning: Installation should be performed by two adults. Ensure proper support and secure mounting to prevent falling hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
