Gas Dryer Series

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Gas leak detector solution
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe wrench
  • Level
  • Tape measure

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a well-ventilated area with proper gas line access and on a solid, level floor.
  2. Remove Shipping Materials: Remove all shipping bolts and packaging materials from the dryer.
  3. Connect Gas Supply: Connect gas line to dryer using approved flexible gas connector. Apply pipe thread sealant to all connections.
  4. Check for Gas Leaks: Apply leak detector solution to all gas connections. Bubbles indicate leaks that must be repaired.
  5. Connect Venting: Install rigid metal venting to exterior. Avoid plastic or foil vent materials.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect to a properly grounded 120V, 60Hz, AC only outlet. Do not use an extension cord.
  7. Level the Dryer: Adjust the leveling legs to ensure the dryer is level from front to back and side to side.
  8. Test Run: Run the dryer through a complete cycle to check for proper operation and ventilation.
Warning: Gas dryer installation must be performed by a qualified technician. Improper installation can create fire and carbon monoxide hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Dryer won't start Power issue, door not closed, start button not held Check power supply, ensure door is latched, hold start button for 3 seconds
No heat Gas supply off, thermal fuse blown, igniter failure Check gas valve, test thermal fuse, inspect igniter
Takes too long to dry Clogged lint filter, restricted venting, overloading Clean lint filter, check vent system, reduce load size
