Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Dryer won't start Power issue, door not closed, start button not pressed Check power supply, ensure door is latched, press and hold start button for 3 seconds
No heat Thermal fuse blown, heating element faulty, gas supply issue Check thermal fuse, test heating element, verify gas supply (gas models)
Takes too long to dry Clogged lint filter, restricted venting, overloaded Clean lint filter, check venting for restrictions, reduce load size
Overheating Restricted airflow, faulty thermostat, clogged vent Clean lint filter and venting, check thermostats, ensure proper clearance
Unusual noises Foreign objects in drum, worn rollers or bearings, loose blower wheel Check for foreign objects, inspect rollers and bearings, tighten blower wheel
Clothes still damp Moisture sensor dirty, incorrect cycle selected, venting too long Clean moisture sensors, select proper cycle, check vent length (max 35 ft)

Error Codes

  • E01: Door switch failure - Check door switch and wiring
  • E21/E22: Temperature sensor failure - Replace temperature sensor
  • E31/E32: Motor triac failure - Check motor and control board
  • E41/E42: Moisture sensor failure - Clean or replace moisture sensor
  • E61/E62: Communication error - Check wiring between control panels
